We are playing the Rapid Tournament and we have 4 team in the grade matches, so come along for a lot of chess!

Welcome to Harbord Diggers Chess Club, 
the chess club with the best view in the world. 
We meet at 7:30 pm every Monday. New members are always welcome. Contact our Games Captain Martin van Elmpt (martinvanelmpt@hotmail.com) or just come along on a Monday night.




What do we do?

At Harbord Diggers Chess Club we play several tournaments throughout the year:
  • The Club Lightning Tournament (5 minutes)
  • The Club Championships (90 minutes)
  • The Rapid Tournament (30 minutes)
  • The Allegro tournament (15 minutes)
  • The Spring/Handicap Tournament (90 minutes)
Besides that, we participate with several teams in the NSW Grade Matches against other clubs, and we always play plenty of 'social games'  as well.

The club has members of all ages and strengths. If you are experienced you can participate in one of the tournaments straight away, and if you're a beginner you can take it easy and play and practice for a while.
Our main tournaments are ACF rated.
