Who manages the Gallery?

Helpers are always welcome.

Join the sub-committee or volunteer some of your time to staff the Gallery.

You don't have to have items to sell if you want to volunteer some of your time.

  • Volunteers are required as staff for the Little Glory Gallery every day it is open: Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.  Our Gallery would not exist without volunteers.  It is a great chance to learn about what our customers are looking for, what colours they want, as well as sizing, fibre combinations and many other factors that may influence purchases.
  • There are all sorts of positions for volunteers in our Gallery: receivers (who list the goods for sale and attach identity tags to each item), assessors (who examine each item to make sure it complies with Gallery standards), computer data entry person (who enters all items on the computer and produces the list of all goods sold each month), banker (who organises cheques, banks takings and keeps the books), display arranger (who makes sure the Gallery looks bright and attractive to entice customers to buy your goods), sales staff (who volunteer their time to keep the Gallery open) and the roster maker (who sorts out who works in the Gallery when).
  • We know doing Gallery duty can be daunting, but we can arrange it so you are rostered on with an experienced person. Explanation of all our processes are in the Gallery, but Gallery committee members are more than willing to take you through it all. Credit card sales are important, since so many of us rely on our plastic, so take the time to learn how to do it properly. Anyone wanting to update their skills is urged to do so after any Saturday meeting.
Little Glory Gallery Sub-committee meets at 10.00 am on the Third Thursday after the Saturday General Meeting.
