Who can sell through the Gallery?

Every member has the right to have their work displayed for sale, providing it is of a certain standard.

Those standards are listed on the Gallery's noticeboard.

Have you had anything rejected for sale in our Gallery? Do you not understand why an item you presented was rejected?

Come to a WORKSHOP aimed at all members, whether they are currently selling goods through our Gallery or thinking about doing so.

WORKSHOP DATE: 14 APRIL 2012.

Important notes for members:

  • All goods submitted must be identified with your name and membership number only.
  • Your address, phone number, etc. will not be displayed.
  • Size (for garments) and weight (for skeins) is vital!
  • The fibre content needs to be identified and care labels attached.
  • Your skeins of handspun wool benefit from being rewound after washing.  Skeins need to be marked with their weight (in grams) and their length (in metres). price should be given, taking note of the fact that 10% GST will be taken on the commission which goes to the Gallery.
  • There is a suggested price listing on the Gallery noticeboard, but if you have any doubts assessors or any member of the Gallery committee can help.
  • It is important that your work is presented in the best way - so a buyer wants to purchase it.
  • Items which have been stored for a while can become hard (because of residual grease) or smell musty or smell of mothballs or camphor.  Please wash them in wool-wash to make them pliant and pleasant to touch and smell.
