2012:

We are going to try something different for our 2012 Birthday Challenge.

The Challenge for 2012 will be a part of a group effort to create a display piece for our Guild Hall.

At our December meeting members were excited to participate in this Challenge, but seem to have decided to work on individually rather than participate in a group day at the Guild.

Please decorate a purchased canvas with something relating to our crafts,

including spinning, weaving, felting, knitting, crochet, kumihimo, or a combination!

You can stitch your piece directly onto the canvas

or take the canvas off, stitch the piece on,

then restretch the completed canvas on the frame.

The finished canvases will be assembled as a display

in a single piece or a number of smaller pieces - depending on what each person creates!

If you wish to participate in this group project,

a number of canvas frames will be available for purchase from the Guild.

Winners of the Flora and Fauna Birthday Challenge were:

1st prize to Diedre for her knitted camel,

2nd prize: shared by Marg for her felted frill-necked lizard and Lynette for her felted scarf with leaf patterns.
