Farming is a beautiful art that requires patience, love, commitment, and a willingness to see our own valuable role in the creation of the food we eat. Here at Hands of the Earth Farm, we are committed to living and teaching the art of organic farming. Our Values and Mission:  At Hands of the Earth Farm, we practice a simple style of agriculture using our very own hands to do most of the work. We believe in being contributing, peacefully coexisting members of our farm's ecosystem, respecting all the life forms here as essential to the sustainability of the farm. Every microrganism, bug, plant, tree, and animal is a respected member of our community and has a valuable lesson to teach us. We are also committed to spreading the knowledge of where our food comes from through volunteer days, internships, and a youth empowerment program called Urban Roots. We offer not simply food for the body, but also the profound experience of living close to nature, touching the soil, planting seeds, harvesting fresh healthy produce, and giving to the greater community we live in. |
