Public Radio Finally Does a Story on CPSIA.

The national public radio airwaves have finally broken their silence and run a story about the CPSIA!  Not NPR proper, mind you, but the American Public Radio show Marketplace.  NPR proper remains as silent as the grave.

So, overlooking the fact that Marketplace has been scooped on this story by nearly 200 other media outlets, what was their conclusion?

NO MORE YODELING PICKLES!

The story got the details of the law right, but misstated the consequences. It's not just about ironic novelty items to share at the office.

Dear NPR--we love you.  We all listen to you.  We trust you.  You need to do a serious story about the CPSIA.  This is a real issue and America's small businesses deserve more consideration that what you have shown so far.

February 10 update: Marketplace has done another story, this time about...Rubber Ducks!  Still no mention of all the other products impacted by the CPSIA.
