Neighborhood Sustainability Resources - Toward a Carbon Neutral Neighborhood
Change can be overwhelming. To help our neighborhood save energy, keep money in the community, and get connected to neighborhood resources, here are some tips on where to start. This is a beginning ~ some first steps and simple, relevant, contact information to encourage all of us to take action. There are so many resources available and so many people ready to help you save energy, save money, and save the planet. In order to lower our energy usage community-wide, we are currently targeting 3 main areas: transportation (including Think Local!), home energy consumption, and increasing green space (yard/garden). In order to achieve our goal of lower carbon emissions (and higher carbon absorption through trees), we are asking everybody who lives in the community to try taking a first steps. |
