We are pleased to announce that Version 0.8 of HamSatDroid has the SDP4 (Highly Elliptical) algorithm which will allow orbit prediction for the satellites carried on the ESA VEGA rocket:
The initial orbit will be circular then move to elliptical. HamSatDroid can take keplerian elements from AMSAT-NA, Celestrak and from flat files uploaded to the phone. Below is an image of a track of the circular orbit of XATCOBEO based on the pre-orbit keps. |
