Welcome to the website for the... Hall of Sound ... where "It's Hall Good"
The bells, the bells... and the guitars, the violins, the cello, the piano, a harmonium, the hurdy gurdy, and a hammered dulcimer... not to mention the accordion! (whoops, sorry - mentioned it by mistake) - what a fabulous first month's line up was on show in January's Hall of Sound ! A very big THANK YOU , therefore, to... Savour the Flavour Nancy and Rosa Ben Phillips Maya's Autumn Pizzazz Helen Sanderson-White Band of Hope George Whitfield Damian Clarke p.s. if you want to see some of Damian's art, or hear more of his music, we recommend a visit to his website at: www.damianclarkeart.co.uk * Podcast now available at: http://www.tlsbroadcast.co.uk/ So, then, now for February... Shoot for the King, Moderately Messy and... who else? Watch this space as we confirm the line-up for another amplified special on the 17th! What's that you say? You'd like to know more about the Hall of Sound? Well... in short, it's a monthly opportunity for us all to share in acoustic music and fun across generations and genres.
It usually happens on the 4th Friday of each month at the Village Hall in Pangbourne (see below for details), although sometimes we pop up in other places.
In terms of musical styles, we encourage almost anything - from; - Beatles to Beyoncé - Black Eyed Peas to Black Dyke Mills Band - Snoop Dogg to Bach We provide some crispy snacks, and you bring your own drink (as long as it's legal). And it won't cost you more than £3 to get in, even if you arrive in a limo. (if you're too young or too old or too poor or otherwise just plain stingy, you can just slip us £1, and we'll still let you in - isn't that nice of us?) All righty then, you're saying - how do you get there? Well, it depends... On foot? - we're about 2 mins walk from Pangbourne railway station * Coming by car? - we've got loads of Free Parking (the postcode is RG8 7AN, SatNav fans, and we're just opposite that showroom with the posh cars in) * Arriving by helicopter? - can I see your pilot's licence, sir?
