The Rotary Club of Kigali
Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.
International Medical Equipment Collaboration (IMEC)
IMEC's Mission is to serve doctors and nurses in developing countries by providing them with quality tools to advance the standard of heath care for their nation's poor. IMEC fulfills its mission by working with other humanitarian organizations to revitalize existing, impoverished hospitals in the developing world, with donated surplus medical equipment and supplies that are acquired, repaired and packaged by dedicated volunteers.
IMEC has agreed to deliver a 40-foot sea container with approximately $400,000-worth of medical equipment to Mwogo Clinic once HHR raises the transportation funds.
Partners in Health (PIH)
The mission of PIH is to provide a preferential option for the poor in health care. This mission which is, at its root, both medical and moral, is based on solidarity rather than charity alone. Working with partners in the community, PIH provides treatment for general medical conditions and for more complex diseases like AIDS and tuberculosis. PIH also works to improve access to food, shelter, clean water, sanitation, education and economic opportunities.
Partners in Health has agreed to act in an advisory role to Hope & Health for Rwanda
