 H4 Socials Hartford's Monthly Gay Happy Hours (Event links at left or at bottom of page) The H4 Socials are held after work on a Friday each month at various locations in and near Hartford (Real Art Ways, The Society Room, The Gershon Fox Room, Mezzanine, Hartford 21, etc). They are purely a social time, and generally about 250 to 350 guys attend. No RSVP is needed, and there is no cost to go--you only pay for your drinks. The venue provides something to snack on. The H4s start at 5:30pm and last three hours. Dress runs the gamut from suit & tie to casual. You must be 21 or older to attend. To keep them from becoming a marketing "free-for-all", the H4s are strictly non-commercial, so any marketing or distribution of materials is not permitted. (On occasion, I may allow promotion of a non-profit event; this must be cleared with me first.) Periodically we also do "singles-only" socials, in addition to the regular "everyone-welcome" ones. The singles-only usually attract about 80 to 150 guys. In order to notify people of the H4 Socials (and other gay events in the Hartford area), I maintain an email list. I'll be happy to add you to the H4 Socials email list. (Please note that to be added to the list, you have to write to me directly from the email you want added. Due to SPAM filters and other issues, I no longer add email addresses sent to me by someone else.) To be added to the H4 Socials email distribution list, please write to Dave at CTDaveC @ aol.com and include your first and last name with your request. (All emails are sent out bcc so your email address is kept private.) Keep in mind that it may take 7 to 10 days to be added to the list, but you will receive a confirmation email when you've been added. If you haven't heard back after 2 weeks, please make sure you check your Spam folder, since it's possible an email I send you may end up there. I DO respond to all emails that I receive. An advantage to being on the list is that it's also used to notify you of other gay "goings-on" in the Hartford area that you may not be aware of. (Commercial emails and spam are NOT sent out.)
