Edd Holcombe's BlogI collect military items and historical artifacts. I love history and collecting historical items allows me (in a way) touch history. In these days of economic disaster with many investments losing about half their value, we all need some bright spots in our lives. Now while I am blessed with a wonderful family, I love to collect military items because it really gives me a boost. I attended an auction last week where several crocks were auctioned off. These crocks went for $800.00 dollars up to $1200.00; it seemed there was no recession there! My point is, if you collect, keep on doing it within your financial means, it is fun, it can have some increased value in the long term, and it could be a bright spot during these down times. Collecting just makes you feel good! Edd |
