"The Cardinal Spellman boys soccer team, playing its third game in four days, took a 1-0 lead into the final eight minutes before allowing the tying goal and went on to lose on penalty kicks, 2-1, to Georgetown on Nov. 15 in the Division 3 state semifinals at Manning Field.

The South Sectional champions finish the season at 22-1-0. They lost on penalty kicks, 3-1, with only Chris Conrad scoring with a hard shot to the upper left corner."
