Despite the disruptions of Hurricane Irene, West Nile Virus & the ensuing curfew, and a bizarre October snow storm, we had yet another successful & terrific GYSA soccer season. A huge part of that success can be attributed to the tremendous work of our volunteer coaches and the GYSA Board of Directors. We all owe those folks, the ones that make Georgetown Soccer what it is, our thanks and appreciation. In this last week of the season, please take a minute to show your gratitude for their time and commitment to our kids - a friendly handshake and pat on the back goes a long way. Let's also not forget the often unseen, but much appreciated, work of the parents who somehow manage crazy and overlapping activity schedules, serve as at-home coaches, and soothe the sting of a lost game or celebrate a great win. This all works because we all work together, for the love of the game... and our kids. Thank You! |
