Welcome back! My name is Amanda Terry and I will be the special education teacher for the junior high this year. My goal is simple - to make each student in my classroom successful. I will assist with modifying and accommodating current material to ensure your child has a successful year at George West Junior High. My conference this year is during our 3rd period class and I would welcome any visitors to the classroom. In reading, we will be reading and acting out stories, as well as learning new or unique strategies that will help in comprehension and study. In writing, we will be keeping a journal / portfolio that will include writing samples and pre and post tests, to show success. In math, we will be using a lot of manipulatives to gain a better understanding of math concepts. I look forward to working with your students this year. Remember, everyone CAN be successful!
