My goal for the course is understanding UI more and learning some useful techniques which can be applied to my research. I am currently working on project Property Model under Dr. Jarvi, which is building kind of UI builder for web environment. The model of UI is described in a declarative way by a simple language and a user describes the relationships(or constraints) in the model. Then it generates event handlers automatically so that propagation between fields and enablement/disablement of fields are dealt by the library while reducing the effort of UI builder. In addition, I think studying CHI itself also could be worthwhile for my career.
