Auxiliary Vice President Rhonda Elia has decided to join the Adopt-A-Platoon program. She is collecting items for “care” packages to be sent each month to her “adopted” platoon which is in the Persian Gulf. Various types of food items (no chocolate) and personal items are needed for her platoon which has 20 members, including two females. Stamps are not needed, but pens and stationery are welcome items. Most requested items include beef jerky, baby wipes/body wipes, paperback books, and magazines (age doesn't matter). Nothing in glass containers, nothing that will melt, and no pressurized items can be sent, as well as no pork products, no liquor, no material that may be considered pornographic, and no religious items offensive to the Islamic faith.
