Your dues need to be in by June 15 or you will lose your continuous membership. Please check your membership card; if you do not have your 2009 membership card, you need to send in your $25 dues ASAP. Dues may be mailed to P.O. Box 71, Gurnee, IL 60031-0071.Thank you to all members and friends who supported last month's Meat Raffle and the Talladega Tailgate fundraiser. Both fundraisers were a big success. The next Meat Raffle will be held on Sunday, May 17 beginning at 2 pm. Don't forget the Memorial Day ceremonies on Monday, May 25. The first ceremony will be held at 11 am at Warren Cemetery. The second ceremony will begin at 12 noon at the Veteran's Memorial Park. A lunch will be served at the Post following the ceremonies. All are welcome to attend. Commander Ron Carlson |

Now that it has warmed up a bit, come on out and see what's happening at your Post. We have some new and exciting things going on such as a Cribbage Tournament, Super Bowl Party, and Legion Birthday Dinner. Come and enjoy socializing at your Legion Post. Come to the bar, even if you don't drink. Soft drinks and non-alcoholic drinks are available as well as snacks, pizza and the “best hot dogs in town.” As in all public places in Illinois, the Post is “smoke free”. Bring your friends, and meet new friends. For those who like to sing, Karaoke is held the second Friday of each month from 7 pm to midnight.The SAL is raffling off an M-1 rifle. Tickets are $10 each, and only 250 tickets will be sold. On Super Bowl Sunday, the SAL is holding a 60/40 raffle.
