The vacuum tube is, without question, an ancient electrical component. RCA sold the first tubes commercially back in 1920, almost 100 years ago! That being said, the vacuum tube is still the standard when it comes to building guitar amplifiers. As DR. Z said, "tubes have a warmth that solid state can’t match."
Hot Rod Deluxe channel switch problem

My friend's Hot Rod Deluxe no longer switches channels. He said when he pushed the control panel button last week, it seemed like it was switching back and forth quickly, the LED flickered with it, and then it just stayed where it stopped, which is the LED is off. The amp still works fine.....HOTROD DELUXE
