Hi, welcome to my academic personal webpage!

Short bio: Currently working at Huawei Research Centre in Helsinki. I did my PhD at the Language Intelligence and Information Retrieval group (LIIR) at KU Leuven, under the supervision of Prof. Sien Moens. My PhD was at the intersection of deep learning, natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision (CV), where I built machine learning models to improve automatic natural language understanding by leveraging vision. In 2017 I was a visiting researcher at the Computer Vision Lab in ETH under the supervision of Prof. Luc Van Gool, and a research intern at Lawrence Livermore National Lab during that same year. Before my PhD, I did a 2-year research master in neuroeconomics at Maastricht University and spent my second year doing machine learning research at MIT Sloan Neuroeconomics lab. with Prof. Drazen Prelec. Before that, I obtained both a BSc in Mathematics and a BSc in Psychology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).
