Research interests My research interests are diverse though focused on plant ecology and modelling of soil-plant and climate-plant relationships. I am particularly interested on investigating the response and adaptations of forests to climate change. I have worked in several different type of ecosystems, from temperate Patagonian forests to Mediterranean ecoystems in Europe and America. Currently, my activities are mostly focused on dendroecology and tree growth modelling, combining both empirical and process-based approaches. Particularly, I am now investigating the growth response and dendroecology of Mediterranean Quercus species along climatic gradients.
