If you want to battle you have to at least know how to get to the arena!
So to enter the Coliseum you have to talk to the npc, Cesar located in (on Victoria Island) Perion (near the bottom far right corner) and Henesys (near the Marketplace and Mushroom Park).
After you talk to him you enter the Lobby where if you go to the right will see Cesar again.

if you create an arena you can set how many people can enter, decide who to kick out, and start the battle
Battling
The point of the battle is to be in 1st place by getting the most jewels in 8 minutes and in exchange after talking to the Queen at the end will give you points and exp.
So in the beginning when you enter the arena, you talk to Cesar to get Element Rocks and bombs. It is recommended you put them on hot keys for easier access (i put the rocks on shift since you need them "catch" the scorpions which turn into jewels and use them a lot and bombs on b).
*NOT RECOMMENDED*-make sure not to put the bombs near your pick up button since you might click to set bombs which may cause a major loss of jewels.
"Catch"ing
So to acquire jewel you have to lower the hp (you should go to system options to change it so that you can see the hp of the scorpions) of the scorpions, I recommend when it's about at some bit less then 1/3 of it's health and lower. Then when you're close it (usually i have a habit of jumping over them which is quite effective in my opinion) then use your element rock (by pressign the key you set it to) to catch it, Sounds easy right? No it isn't since it is free for ANYONE to catch, if someone else is near your weakened scorpion they can catch it. So you can be cheap and steal some other people's weakened scorpion too, except for the fact they don't like it... Also if a "Fail" thing pops up when you try to catch a scorpion, don't worry, it's not expected that you catch the scorpion on the first try, usually if that happens you catch it on the 3rd try.

Bombs
Now with the bombs. You only get 5 in the beginning but you can get more by killing the scorpions and by killing them you can get Power-ups too. Bombs are used to knock people back causing them to be stunned for a certain amount of time and losing about 1/3 of their jewels they have acquired. Enabling you to pick them up, but of course other people can pick them up too. If you want to put a bomb down you should put it somewhere or put a lot of them somewhere people will get affected by it. For example, when people are at a corner put a bomb down since they can't necessary escape. You should also beware of the bomb you put down, since you can get affected by the bomb too. On some occasions it is possible to "miss" the bomb but that rarely happens so to avoid the bomb after you or someone else put one down you should either 1) run the heck outta there 2) teleport away if you're near a portal spot 3) climb a rope if one is near you as fast as possible or 4) if there is a scorpion nearby jump onto it because if you're stunned already, the bomb won't affect you. :)

Yes, for some reason you can party other people or go in with a party to the Coliseum. You won't share any points or anything you can just be in party with the same basic rules, you share exp when the party member(s) kills something. |
