Crystals
*Note period 2A and 3B did not have this for homework.

Your igneous rock quizzes have been graded and returned. I was very pleased with the results of the quizzes and it shows that we have been working hard.
Your "test file" has been passed back and we discussed the grading system in our science classroom. We always want to have a goal of getting everyone at the "3" and "4" level.
If you were absent on the days of the quiz (August 19 (A) and August 20 (B), then it is your responsibility to make it up

Homework for August 13 (A-Day), and August 14, (B-Day)
Please complete the worksheet called "sinkers and floaters" by Friday August 15 (A-Day) and Monday August 18 (B-Day).
You need to read a few paragraphs and then answer the six T/F questions. This will help you practice some of the reading strategies we did in class.
1) In the margin, write, what you think this reading is about?
2) Circle 4 words you DO know
3) Now read to understand.

Welcome back students! It have been a busy first and second day of school! Osborn Middle School is so happy to have you here. Today was our first "A" day. Our science students were hard at work from day 1. The homework for Thursday August 7 and Friday August 8 is to read and sign the "Discipline Plan". Please share this information with your parents. This assignment is due Monday August 11 for "A" day classes and Tuesday August 12 for "B" day classes.

Reminder: The first day for students at Osborn Middle School is Wednesday, August 6. School starts at 8:45 AM, but students should arrive early to find their classes!
