October 28, 2008 - Clean and Toasty
Since the cold weather has set in we run our pellet stove more frequently although so far it as still been warm enough that we don't have to run it all the time. Lillie loves to stand by the fire and warm her hands like daddy does. She also loves to go curl up by the fire and dry off after a bath.
October 20, 2008 - Friendly get togethers
Last week my friend Chelsea and her two kids came for a visit. He son, Carter, is 6 months older than Malaki, while her daughter, A'Rianna, is 3 days old than Lillie. We used to live fairly close to each other and we did things quite often, such as groccery shopping, walking, and going to JoAnns.
While she was here for the day we went out to lunch, and then went to JoAnns and Target. 2 women with 5 young children get a lot of funny looks.... But that is half the adventure for us! So here are the kids having a good time after finishing lunch at Arby's.
October 17, 2008 - Family time @ the zoo
Today I worked from 4:30am-8:30am, Jereme worked from home from 7am-11am... since we both had short days and the weather was gorgeous we decided to renew our tax deductible membership at the zoo and spend the day there. If it weren't for being members we would probably never go, since it isn't the best zoo and the world, and it costs a lot of money without the membership. Anyhow, we got there a little after noon and got the stroller all loaded, the people next to us who had also just got there said "Wow, look at all those babies!" I hear a lot of that these days!

The first thing we saw were the sea lions, but they were being boring and Malaki was ready to explore. We ended up trying out the zoo train, which is kind of lame since you ride AROUND the zoo, and you can only see maybe 3 animals the whole time... I would think they would make it so you could check it all out. However we DID get to see the baby elephant from the train, which the kids really liked. Kori rode in the stroller and pretty much slept the entire time.
The rest of the trip was fairly uneventful, we walked around and enjoyed the sunshine while checking out some of the animals. The best part of being a member is that you don't feel like you have to see everything all at once, so once everyone was tired we decided to be done.
As you leave the zoo there is a place to stamp your hand in case you want to come back the same day. We didn't plan to come back, but the kids wanted to get their hands stamped anyhow....
Since it is Friday we decided to eat at IHOP, kids eat free on Fridays up here... the kids were very hungry, so everyone finished all their food, normally we have left overs to bring home. I guess all the running around caused the kids to work up an appetite. In the midst of all this fun the kids didn't get naps, so they were more than ready for an early bedtime by 6.
October 16, 2008 - Cuddle Time

I think one of the best parts of being a kid is the soft cuddly Jammies... I love when my kids are wearing them and we snuggle on the couch to read books or watch a movie. I am enjoying the cold weather as it sets in (this is my favorite time of year) and the kids and I are getting more and more cuddle time.
October 15, 2008 - The "carving" of the Pumpkins
Ok, so after we took pictures of the kids with the pumpkin we changed their clothes, and Julie and I cut the tops off so the kids could dig out the seeds of the pumpkins while Mandi took pictures.
Digging out pumpkins side by side ---->
<---- "What is this stuff? Yuck!"
Trying to figure out how to put the top back on the pumpkin's
I decided to let the kids color the pumpkins, since they are still a little to young to be playing with knives...
October 14, 2008 - Getting ready for a "buggin" Halloween!
As promised, here are the kids in their Halloween Costumes with their "poonkins" First we took pictures with the pumpkins before we carved them so as not to ruin the kids' Halloween costumes.
  Bzzzzzz Thumbs up "lady"
Bitty Butterfly

Do we bug you?
Malaki, the bee, liked his costume so much he cried when I took off his "bug"
Lillie is a Lady bug, the coat part of her costume proved to warm for wearing around the house and we had to put it back on her after she took it off a couple time so that we could get pictures.
Korinthia is a little Butterfly, who as you can see, has not yet grown into her wings, perhaps she would have been better suited for a caterpillar...
Coming soon.... The "carving" of the pumpkins Cuddle Time
October 13, 2008 - The House That Cleans Itself (pt. 1)
Last week I decided that it was time to get motivated and get things done. Before we bought this house I had been converting our apartment into "The House That Cleans Itself" *book by Mindy Starnes Clark*. The room I had finished were so easy to keep clean. However we moved before I had a chance to do the rest of the apartment. So I have decided to start implementing the ideas of the book on our new house. The idea is to let the house be at it's worst, which it was, and go one room at a time. Taking before and after pictures so that you can see progress... and having a detailed list, so that you can feel accomplished as you check things off, and so you don't forget anything you wanted done on each room. I started with the kids room, here is a couple before and afters....
Before
After
Today I am going to start on the kitchen! :)
October 8, 2008 - Kori is now 3 months old! Today Aunt Mandi came over to help us take pictures for the Calendar, and do Korinthia's 3 Month pictures (I can hardly believe she is already three months) Most of the pictures are on Mandi's camera so I will have to put them up later, but we did get a couple cute ones of Kori on my camera...
Mandi is Due with her first child and my first Nephew on December ninth, so she bought this cute little straw bale to take pictures with. :)
October 7, 2008 - Pumpkin Patch
Over the weekend my parents came up and went to a pumpkin patch with us... while we were a little disapointed in it, we still had an ok time, and I know the kids enjoyed it.
First we took a very short train ride and ended up by the pumpkin patch and hay bale maze...
"I dont want it" (she wouldn't jump till Papa had hold of her) "WOOHOO!!"
Then Malaki Hopped in a wheel barrow and it was off to pick a couple pumpkins...
"Go this way Grandma"
After we picked our pumpkins we got a them. While ded back to the barn to pay for them. While Daddy and Grandma went inside to pay for the pumpkins, Grandpa and I took the kids over and took there pictures in the scare crow, and then Lillie checked to see how she measured up...
 The Crow kids
2 Years old but not quite 3 feet tall... Later I will put up pictures of the kids with their pumpkins and their costumes!!! :)
October 2, 2008 - UH-OH Spaghetti-O
So if I know that we are going to be eating a meal that could be consdiered a little messy I make sure to strip Lillie down to her diaper, she is the reason the motto is "UH-OH Spaghetti-O's"
Yummy!!!! Better use my spoon AND my hand! Starting to get full.... All Done!
Malaki on the other hand is a much cleaner, he eats a lot less than she does though, and is a lot more picky!
Hmmmmm, To eat or not to eat??? To Eat! "isa GOOD mom!" As I am sure you could guess, we take a lot of baths around here! And I normally try and pick less messy foods for lunch, but Malaki is getting to the age where he wants to choose his own meals, and this is what he picked out at the grocery store the other day.
