Lucy Gray, Education Technology Specialist University of Chicago Center for Elementary Mathematics and Science Education
Diigo Bookmarks for the Chicago GTA Lucy is employed by the Center for Elementary Mathematics and Science Education at the University of Chicago as an education technology specialist. In her current role, she advises curriculum developers, researchers, and direct service providers on the most current developments in educational technology and on applications of this technology for all facets of the Center's work. She also provides technology-focused professional development and coaching to teachers and schools in support of their implementation of Everyday Mathematics and Science Companion curriculum materials. In addition to her work with CEMSE, Lucy is an adjunct faculty member in the Technology in Education Program at National Louis University. Before joining CEMSE, Lucy served as the lead technology coach at the University of Chicago Urban Education Institute. Additionally, she has taught middle school computer science at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools and primary grades in the Chicago Public Schools. Her professional interests include multimedia development, assistive technology, global education and the incorporation of social media technologies in educational settings. Lucy often covers these topics in her posts to the Infinite Thinking Machine, a group weblog sponsored by WestEd and Google. In recent years, she has been appointed an Apple Distinguished Educator and Google Certified Teacher. |
