Welcome to the Beta Gamma Chapter of Gamma Sigma Sigma! We are a community service organization here at the University of Delaware. Our mission is to promote a lifelong commitment to service and diversity, in an environment of unity and equality, while creating opportunities for growth. Each member is required to do a certain amount of service hours every semester. Our chapter completes over 3,000 service hours every semester! The service projects range from overnights at Cape Henlopen State Park, to babysitting children after school, to donating clothing and soda tabs. Every year, we select a philanthropic organization to donate all of our fund raising efforts to. This year, we have chosen to support the Johnston family in their efforts to give their son with Autism the best possible life.  We are also working with Autism Delaware to help other families with a similar fight. In addition to holding service projects and fund raising events, we hold social events to promote our motto,  "unity in service”.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the president, Kate Ragghianti, at gsspresident1@yahoo.com.

To the Sisters of Gamma Sig:

  We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean, but the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.
     We can do no great things, only small things with great love.

Success
by Ralph Waldo Emerson

To laugh often and much;

To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;

To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;

To appreciate beauty,

To find the best in others,

To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded.
