Welcome to the Beta Gamma Chapter of Gamma Sigma Sigma! We are a community service organization here at the University of Delaware. Our mission is to promote a lifelong commitment to service and diversity, in an environment of unity and equality, while creating opportunities for growth. Each member is required to do a certain amount of service hours every semester. During the Spring 2010 semester, our chapter completed over 7,500 hours of service! The service projects range from overnights at Cape Henlopen State Park, to babysitting children after school, to donating clothing and soda tabs. Every year, we select a philanthropic organization to donate all of our fund raising efforts to. For the 2011-2012 school year, we have chosen to help support the National Kidney Foundation. In addition to holding service projects and fund raising events, we hold social events to promote our motto, "unity in service”. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our president, Katie Hazlett, at gsspresident1@gmail.com.
Picture & Quote of the Week :
"Whenever you remember times gone by
Remember how we held our heads so high
When all this world was there for us
And we believed that we could touch the sky
Whenever you remember, I'll be there
Remember how we reached that dream together
Whenever you remember..." <3 Congratulations and the best of luck to our graduating senior sisters. Our sisterhood will never be the same without you!

COMPASSIONATE SERVICE By Betty Thompson
A comforting word, a friendly deed Will bring you blessings untold. When you but give with a loving heart, You'll always receive ten-fold. When you help a needy friend Along Life's rocky way, The peace that's deep within your heart You'll find is there to stay. You'll find that peace eternal Is a smile—a touch of cheer, A simple prayer—a fond hello Just knowing a friend is near.
