Saturday, September 20 8:15 p.m. "Ike'n crackers!"
1. I survived Ike! 2. Saltine crackers taste like sweaty gym socks.
Comments: growinguptoofast@gmail.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Friday, August 29 8:45 p.m. Sales Assistants are weird.
At one of the places where I work we have a lady I'll call "Kitty." (I feel like I'mwriting to Abby) Kitty is very quiet. Kitty keeps to herself. Kitty doesn't look up at anyone when they come in. Kitty is weird. I'm here tonight until 11pm'ish and Kitty's been gone for hours (it's Friday after all) and I go into the copy room and there Kitty is, facing the wall, cutting papers with the "paper chopper" on the table (what is it really called?). With her back turned, she says "hi" - as if she KNEW I was there.
Kitty is a psychic.

My boss doesn't know how to make a pot of coffee.
Sidebar comment: Since my boss is a she, who can we really say wears the pants at work? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tuesday, August 19 7:50 p.m. It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time!
My recent "diet" already bombed. Monday: healthy, moderated eating. check. exercise. check. non-lazyassness (book reading). check. Tuesday: peanut butter on Ritz. peanut butter sandwiches. exercise? fuck off. non-lazyassness?? I now know the type of girl MTV looks for when casting for "NeXt" - having watched 6-hours worth of them.
I blame this mainly due to my headache(s). When I have one, everything goes out the window. Can't focus. Can't sleep. "Advil, the every pain reliever" is a fine slogan except for the fact that it don't cure the DAMN HEADACHES. Beacon of hope? I go back to see my shrink this coming Tuesday. Yay!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tuesday, August 19 4:45 p.m. Two days...
...two headaches in a row.
X-( and I never use smileys. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Monday, August 18 Water tastes like...
I tried to taste water today.
I poured a good glob in my mouth; it swished around like the salty waves on a cloudy Galveston Island day. I moved my tongue around a bit - the tongue that was "burned" earlier in the morning when eating a hot bowl of Kashi oatmeal. (Damn organic nuts and their hot oatmeals) Tongue tasted nothing.
The question is still unanswered. What does water taste like? "Only God knows" - the answer everyone in my kindergarten class would give to one-up the smart-ass who asked, "who came first, the chicken or the egg?" Huzzah. |
