Our Story of Overcoming Cancer and Developing an Interest in Nutrition (If you are interested in more information about our story or overcoming cancer feel free to contact us.) In 2003, when my family learned that my dad had two forms of cancer (Stage 4 Chronic Lymphosytic Lymphoma & Leukemia) we looked into many treatments & cures. While some recommended chemotherapy & others natural methods, one theme kept coming back which was important either way: the power God put into fruits, vegetables & whole grains to prevent (& possibly even cure) cancer and every known disease. (The USDA recommends 7-13 servings of fresh, raw fruits and vegetables every day.) This led to changes in our diet (not just my dad's though his was more strict) as well as looking into further supplementation. As we sorted through the many options we found Juice Plus to be the best, most researched nutritional product, being made directly from 17 fruits, vegetables & whole grains. This provided the power which comes when the thousands of nutrients in these foods to work together as God made them, rather than the lesser benefit when they are in isolation or working with only a few others such as in many vitamin supplements. My dad is now healthier than before the cancer was found. We have seen this story repeated over and over again in family & friends with many health issues. This even led to my sister working toward her MA in nutrition, and our family seeing it as a ministry to share what we have learned to help people find physical health, while also sharing the infinitely more important need we have for spiritual life through Jesus Christ.
