Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6, ESV) There is no more important aspect of your marriage and family than the family's spiritual growth. As Jesus said, "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned" (John 15:5-6, ESV). Without a deep relationship with Christ, you cannot be a good spouse or good parent. Without Jesus, you "can do nothing". The resources to the right are recommended for the spiritual growth of adults, teens or even children that have a desire to study the Bible more deeply. We will add children's resources in the future, and are open you your suggestions, but for now, let's start with the parents, who can then "train their children in the way they should go". |
