 We highly value marriage as a gift God has given us second only to Jesus' dying in our place so that our relationship with God can be restored. As our restored relationship with God took the work of Christ in his sinless life, death and resurrection, our relationship with our spouse takes a lot of work and increasingly dying to self. This site was created to help provide resources for growing healthy marriages and as a result to have healthy children and families that are uplifting to the family, a witness to the world and honoring to Christ. During our engagement and marriage, we have found it very beneficial to read about relationships (both of us reading the same book) and to discuss what we are reading. The goal is not to finish a book quickly, but to have it be a catalyst for deep discussion. Marriage needs to be a time of continually studying your spouse, to know them at deeper and deeper levels. Note: This site is still very much under construction and we welcome any suggestions you may have for additional sections, resources, etc. While we may not follow every suggestion, we are excited to have recommendations for our own reading and continued growth as well as to share with others. |
