Silly Stuff

Move to Fairbanks!   We hope moving will prove to be the most difficult part of this adventure, because it was painful!  Our conclusions were that Heidi has too much stuff, and Dan is very good at house projects.  After about 3 weeks of packing and house projects, and lots of stress accompanied by too little sleep, we packed up and drove north.  Dan had the brunt of the packing as Heidi was off to Boise and Boulder for conferences with her new job.  (That's real convenient, Heidi.)

Dan got so fed up with all the "stuff" that he was trying to find room for, that he managed to find a beautiful 19-foot enclosed trailer!  So half of our stuff came north with us, while the other half is in storage in Eagle River. Anyway, moving to Fairbanks is complete, or at least as complete as it can be until we have a house of our own to move everything into! As of May 12th, we are Fairbanksans.

Of course, before we left we had one last BBQ at the Eagle River house to say goodbye to all of our friends.  This meant barbecueing in the snow- over a foot of the white stuff fell in Anchorage on April 25th, setting monthly snowfall records.  What a sendoff!  Thanks to those who made it out, and those who wish they could have made it.  We'll miss you all!
