Gregg Winsor

My name is Gregg Winsor and I am enrolled in Emporia State University's School of Library and Information Management. Over the course of my graduate career at ESU, the classes, projects, readings, mentors, and fellow students I've encountered have forged me into a budding information professional, and the experiences and lessons I've learned here will continue shape me through my career in librarianship.

Welcome to my portfolio. During my time at SLIM, I've worked on numerous projects and papers that have been important steps in my development and are important to the SLIM program's values and outcomes. Within these pages, I will discuss some of the projects I've worked on and how they relate to these values and outcomes. Above all else - and the thread that weaves these pages together - is the concept that librarianship is as much service as a profession. We as information professionals have a duty and and obligation to the patrons we serve.

This capstone project has been a useful exercise for me. As I've looked through my papers and projects I've worked on over the months I've been in the program, I've had a chance to reflect my SLIM experience as a whole, as well as my own personal progress within it. I'm confident that I'm fully prepared to be an information professional who is thoughtful, dynamic, and prepared for an evolving and changing world.
