Class Procedures - Mr. Bienkowski

Adhering to the following guidelines will help make your time in class an easier and more rewarding experience!

Daily Required Materials:               

1) Pencil and pen (blue or black)

2) Lines loose leaf paper

3) A three subject spiral notebook

4) Three ringed folder

5) A POSITIVE ATTITUDE!!!!!!

Attendance: There is a correlation between good attendance and good grades!!!

Absences: If you are absent for any reason you are responsible for finding out what you missed.

Lateness: Students must be in their assigned seats by the time the bell stops ringing.  If a student is late he or she must sign my late sign in sheet located on the filing cabinet to get into class.  The first lateness is free!  Every time after the first lateness will result in a call home, detention, and eventually referrals.

Grading System: Students will be graded on a cumulative points system, with everything having a preassigned value.

Generally it will appear as follows:

Homework     10-20 points each

Quizzes           20-50 points each

Tests              100 points each

Bellringers     25 points weekly

Projects          Values will depend on project

**Extra Credit will be available every week online.  It is up to you to take advantage of my generosity.  Weekly questions will be available on the class website.  Every Monday these questions can be handed in. 

Bienkowski Rules:

1) Show respect-I respect you, you respect me, we all respect one another.

2) Be prepared-Bring required daily materials to class.

3) Be on time-Class begins at the bell.  Do not gather outside my room.  Come in, sit down, and get out your work.

4) Raise your hand! Raise your hand! Raise your hand! (I think you get the point)

5) Keep your head off my desk.

6) I dismiss the class.  Do not line up at my door.

Make Up Work:

If you miss a test, you have until the next test to make it up or it becomes a zero.  Homework cannot be made up unless you were absent.  When grades are posted in class only assignments marked a/b and mi can be made up.

Contacting Mr. Bienkowski:

If you need to contact me, I will usually be in D-102 by  6:30 a.m. and in room until 3:00 p.m. unless I have practice or a game.

Final Note:

I am 100% here for you.  I will try to help you in any and every way possible for you to succeed.  This class is meant to be an enjoyable learning environment in which you can express your ideas freely.  I look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas.  Like life, the more you put into this class, the more you will get out of it.
