A $4500 commission is available for an artist to create a public art  sculpture in Greensboro.  Artists from in and around the Southwestern Pennsylvania Region are invited to apply for “River Towns Public Art Project” for Greensboro Borough which is funded, by the Sprout Fund Seed Award and the Greensboro Elm Street Project.   

Artists must be able to create their visions in a way that represents the glass and pottery history of Greensboro and the environmental attributes of the river, either solo or with a team, at an outdoor location to be determined by the community in Greensboro, PA.  This proposal is accepting submissions for sculptural art pieces only.  The deadline for submission of your proposal is JANUARY 4, 2012 by 5:00 PM.
