When Required All Weekend Details valid from Sat 27th Feb Areas of Interest Environment Type of Activity Fundraising, General and Helping, Local Events Recruitment Method Informal Discussion Description Newcastle Community Green Festival is an annual community based environmental festival that aims to use creative artistic and musical activities to raise awareness about environmental issues and demonstrate positive environmental solutions to these problems.
Outgoing, friendly, shameless bucket shakers and tin rattlers required to help the Green festival beat its previous "on-weekend" donations record. Working on fixed park gate entrances / exits or walking the site, volunteers are needed to blag, beg and cajole all the loose and spare change the visiting public may have, out of their pockets and into your buckets!
Fundraisers will operate in pairs, or will be accompanied by a security official if on a fixed gate position
Volunteering in various shifts of 4 hours, commencing 11.00 am Thursday 5th June – to 7pm Monday 9th June. Skills and Qualifications Contact organisation & specify availability & preferences (if any). Formal safety briefing to take place before
- None required for general stewarding, though volunteers should preferable be enthusiastic and outgoing - No-under 18's due to child protection / safety issues - Meal and drink voucher provided per steward
