Organic Consumers Useful website. Mainly focused on food but will post info on any product labeled organic. Also has political action information. Their news area is always excellent.
SustainaBlog A fellow blogger with hints and tips for sustainable living.
Cosmetic Database If you are looking for the ingredients and safety of said ingredients in products, this is the place. Sometimes you have to search a little bit, but you'll find pretty much anything you can think of. This is a pretty technical site but don't be discouraged, there is still lots of useful information on here even for the novice.
Local Harvest This is a great site. If you are buying your vegetables at the supermarket you are getting ripped off. Buying from local organic farmers saves you money and gets you fresher, better tasting produce (while helping out your community). This site will find you local organic farm stands. Or, buy a share of the farm and get your produce monthly.
Sustainable is Good A Blog about sustainable packaging (which normally means cheaper as well).
Apartment Therapy - Green Ideas We all know and love Apartment Therapy for great design ideas for small spaces. This is a listing (by readers) of simple to execute ways to be green.
DC Ska I love Jamaican music. This is where I express that love. Michelle, one of our reviewers, runs this site. She is short. I like to rest my beer on her head. She gets rather upset.
Method Lust A man who is obsessed with Method products. Whatever floats your boat buddy. He seems to get all the inside scoops on new products.
Greg Palast "One thing that can be said of any government is that the most reliable records are tax records" - V for Vendetta. The most important man you've never heard of. An famous economist who uncovers corruption no matter what the party by following the money. There are several ongoing Senate investigations as we speak because of this man. Reports for Harpers Magazine and the BBC. You won't see him on US television, he's bad for business.
World Community Grid Help save lives while your screensaver is on. Using the Berkley program made famous by SETI@Home, World Community Grid uses your computer to help in the search for cures to AIDS, cancer, Malaria, even world hunger. A very easy way to help others. Here's a quick tip though, don't leave your computer on overnight to research, that will do more harm from CO2 emissions. Just let it run when you are away from your desk.
