What Is The Greater Sedgwick Neighborhood Watch
Community Advocacy Team (C.A.T)?
The phrase “Advocacy Group or Team” is a term dating back to the early 1900’s. Once formed, these teams worked with various political leaders, departments, and organizations to protect the interests of individuals and communities. The Greater Sedgwick Neighborhood Watch “Community Advocacy Team (C.A.T.)” is a neighborhood organization made up of residents who share the common goal of preserving their community and improving the overall quality of life in their neighborhoods. The Greater Sedgwick Neighborhood Watch provides residents the opportunity to communicate with neighbors, the Syracuse Police Department, various city departments, and officials. It is an organized effort by concerned residents to assist the Syracuse Police Department in their crime prevention efforts by becoming the “Eyes and Ears” of their community.
