Saturday May 5, 2012 GREEN PARADE: The Coalition is hosting its third annual Green Parade. The parade will be held downtown in the Broadway District beginning at 11:00 a.m. All entries and floats will be green powered (i.e., solar powered, electric, man-powered, etc.). Come out and cheer on local businesses, conservation groups, and civic/charitable groups who will be spreading the "green" word around. This is a great family event. Contact Jodi Arndt at jla@lcojlaw.com or Maureen Davitt at (920) 217-1799 for further information. Also refer to the "Special Events" page for more information on the rules of the parade and for a list of entries to the parade.
ECO BLOCK PARTY : The Coalition is sponsoring an Eco-Block Party immediately after the Green Parade. The block party is being held at Veterans Memorial Park, directly adjacent to the Neville Museum. There will also be events at the Neville Museum as the Coalition is teaming up with the Museum this year in celebrating Earth Day. The Neville Museum is planning an environmental scavenger hunt for families. There will be a reduced admission fee for the day. There will be green friendly vendors and activities at the Block Party in celebration of Earth Day. There will be plenty of activities for children to engage in, as well as adults to learn about sustainability and living a "greener" life. This is another great family event. Contact Jodi Arndt at jla@lcojlaw.com for further information. Also refer to the "Special Events" page for more information on the Eco-Block Party. Sunday May 6, 2012
Teddy Bear Hunt: The Brown County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League will be sponsoring its annual Annual Teddy Bear Hunt from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Osprey Point on County Highway GV (one mile south of the Highway 172/Cty GV exit). Families purchase a "hunting license" for $15.00 ($10.00 if family is a member of the Chapter), which covers the cost of lunch for the entire family, a teddy bear for each child, a special prize for each "hunter" and other special outdoor activities such as fishing, bird watching, geo-caching and nature crafts. This event is open to the public. Contact Jodi Arndt at jla@lcojlaw.com for further information. Also more information on the "Special Events" page.
