Siv Oware This is the most fantastic person I know in my world of dogs and she is my own idol. I have all to thank this lady for. Without her strength, intensity and will to keep me carry on, my world as a doghandler would be much more otherwise. From the first time I met her at a age of 16 she became my teacher and mentor and was pushing me to a limit I didnt know existed. Sadly as a Juniorhandler we had to short time due to my age, but we did it great after all. I have a lot of respect for this wonderful lady. She really is my number one...
Siv has done a fabolouse work with juniorhandlers and after I got to old, two other girls filled up my space. The first one was Marita Øvergård and then Benedicte Nergård, both Norwegian Winners and was indicated Norway at Crufts, the world biggest Dog Show in Birmingham, England.
For all of us, Siv has had a major part in our lifes.
Thank you Siv for beeing who you are, and to show me everything I know today. You are the one and only...

I was born into a family with three dogs. One Doberman, a Rottweiler and Doberman mix and one Collie. They become a start of a life I'll never be without. My parents have always loved animals, so horses and dogs had a major part in my life from the beginning. From the early start my parents were teaching me have to behave around animals but it felled me very natural. My mom was the dog lover and my dad had his heart for the horses, although he always talked about the small Boston Terrier. His biggest dream was to get one of this small "gentlemen"... But it was not just horses and dogs in my life, but also birds, cats, rabbits, mouse’s and rats. Animals in all shapes... and on top off all this I had to live together with two older brothers. As the youngest in the family I was the quiet little girl with a heart for both people and animals... A little angel, my mom and dad used to call me, and my brothers was like the complete otherwise. Hanging up side down and was giving their sister a hard time. But I'm not always sure about that... I think I was quite a handful sometimes, climbing around, running ahead and could not stand still for a moment. I had a lot of energy and was almost never indoors. We where out playing with the other kids in the neighbourhood and my parents, who I like to call nature people, where often out with us. My parents always encourage us kids to do many different activities. We played soccer, took swimming lessens, went fishing out on the sea as well as up in the lakes and the rivers, went out on skiing in the winter time and on rollerblades in the summer time. My mom was a big fan of the orientation races and was pushing me to run as well. I loved it. My brother’s always give me a hard time, both out on the soccer field as well as in my brother wrestling training at home. From my brothers I learn a lot… maybe the hard way sometimes and we didn’t always get along great. Five minutes with my youngest of my older brothers and we were in a big fight. We were the first to get Nintendo and Super Mario was a big hit among the kids in the neighbourhood. Sadly my brother didn’t like that his sister was better than him and it went from a quite children’s game to a huge fighting ground. Therefore I went to my other and oldest brother who was more interest in motors and cars. From him I have learn a lot about engines and machines. Both my mom and dad is people with a lot of love to the ocean and they both were travelling all around the world with boats in their younger days. Especially my dad has a lot of stories from that time, and as you may understand I'm practically raised in a boat. We where often out on boat-trips, and I think that is why I love the ocean the way I do today... When I got older, I got my own horse and my own dogs. I start working in a pet shop quite young, just to be able to take care of the expense for my animals. I start the day in the stable, then i went to the school, then it was down to the pet shop at work, and then back to the stable again. When I come home I had to walk our dogs and I never complained about my tasks.
I was very active both as a horsejumper, as well as on the agility-track, the obedience and dogshows. On top of all this I had found my love for the music and used a lot of my spare time on guitar playing, piano and dancing. In 1994 I was singing for hundred of people on the square market in Tromso on the 200 year marking of the city. I'm not sure how I did it, but I'm sure I never could have done it today... As the years went by and I got my beautiful son Brage, I had to realise that I had to choose between something, and It was a very tuff decision to send my lovely horse through eight wonderful years away in 2002. But I had to be realistic and realise that my time didn’t stretch all over and it wasn't fair for him. My decision to send away my horse was really tuff, but it was the only way for me to get more time to dogs. But after 10 years with salukis I have found my breed, and the Boston Terrier it's going to stay... for sure... Today we have three wonderful dogs, our two Salukis and my dad's dream through all years, a beautiful Boston Terrier. I'm travelling all over Europe with my dogs and my Boston Terrier "Ulf" has been the mascot for the Motor sport of Norway the last year... He loves to be in the spotlight and he is a wonderful show dog with a splendid attitude. My dogs and my son takes a lot of my time, but I do try to take care of all my wonderful friends who I love dearly. Sometimes I just want to hang out with them and talk about everything else instead of dogs. I’m always there for the people I love, and to take care of my friends and help them if they need it, means a lot to me... Photo by jeepir.com Me and Ch.
