Just My Recipes is a simple but elegant app to store your favorite recipes. You can have instant access to recipes whether you write it down yourself, copy it or access it from a web site. The recipes and links to web sites are stored on your device and automatically backed up to your iCloud. Therefore you can access the recipes from your iPhone or iPad. You can also share your recipes with other users running the Just My Recipes app using Airdrop.

1. How do I add recipes found on the internet?

Use Safari to browse to the recipe desired. Press the Action button on the Safari menu. If you don't see the JustMyRecipe icon listed press the more.. button on the dropdown menu and select JustMyRecipes. This will add JustMyRecipes to the action menu. Then press the JustMyRecipes icon. Ad popup window will display allowing you to name the recipe and assign the correct category. The next time you run JustMyRecipes the internet recipe will automatically be added to your recipe list.

2. How do I add recipes from my handwritten recipes or from magazine and newspaper articles?

One way is to enter the ingredients and preparations steps manually. The other is to take a photo of the recipe and add it to you recipes using the JustMyRecipe app.

3. I have an older iPad that doesn't support AirDrop. How do I share recipes with other JustMyRecipe users since AirDrop is the only way to share?

If your recipe recipient has an iPhone that can use the AirDrop feature you can share the recipe using AirDrop to their iPhone. The recipes are automatically saved to the users iCloud whenever an update occurs so after the recipe is shared to their iPhone they can use their iPad and restore the recipes from the iCloud. Remember to wait a few minutes for the iCloud update from their iPhone.

4. I received a text message with a JustMyRecipes file attached. How do I add the recipe to my JustMyRecipes app?

First, tap the title of the message to show the additional action buttons on the title bar. Tap the info button and scroll down to the attachment and tap on it. The JustMyRecipes file will be displayed with the standard Action button in the lower left corner of the screen. Tap the Action button and tap on "Copy to JustMyRecipes". The next time JustMyRecipes is launched the new recipe will be added to your recipe list.
