Welcome to our team science web page!

The goal of this page is to help to provide useful information to students and parents about our 6th grade science class.  I will be updating the site with information and news as much as possible and will try to make this site helpful to parents and students in a variety of ways.  If you have any advice about additional content that may be helpful to parents and students or interesting links please email me and I will try my best to accommodate!

We have an exciting year coming up in science!  We will be investigating various science topics using a variety of learning strategies including problem solving, small group and partner work, “hands-on” learning, reading, writing, presentations, and informational research.  This year we will be diving into the Biology segment of science.  Some of the major areas of study this year include "Populations and Ecosystems", "Microscopes and Cells" and "Reproduction and Human Body Systems".  It should prove to be a very fun and interesting year as these are some very engaging topics.

I am looking forward to working with the sixth grade students this year.  It is my third time teaching in at the sixth grade level and I am looking forward to helping students meet the the expectations of sixth grade science.  I hope to make it a fun and interesting time for everyone on the team.

Come prepared with materials and an open mind and you might find that you learn something new!  I hope everyone is ready for a fun and exciting year as we explore Science together!

Best Wishes for a fantastic school year!

See you in School!
