Dear New Emmaus Member,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Emmaus community on behalf of all our Grace UMC/Providence UMC members. I pray that you are feeling God’s presence in all you Fourth Days.

Our group is made up of many different people from many different backgrounds and walks of life who are bound together with the common goal,  “Not to be served, but to serve”. Becoming an active member with us one way to do this. It is your link to the vast Emmaus communities at large.

Remember that mountain top experience you had on your weekend? Coming to the our meetings is one way to experience that over and over. It is a time to come together to praise and celebrate that joy of the Holy Spirit. I fell certain that you will come away with your heart warmed.

I also encourage you to become involved in a Reunion Group. These groups are usually made up of two to six people that have been on the Walk who want to continue their pursuit of a life lived wholly in the grace of God. It allows for deepened friendships to develop and opens up avenues for Christian action.

Again, I want to welcome you to out community and I look forward to meeting you at our next meeting!
