The Rev. Taylor
M. Smith, Rector
Taylor
has served Grace as rector since 2000. He grew up in Buffalo, New York, but spent
most of his post-high school years in North Carolina. Prior to his arrival at
Grace, he served in the Diocese of Western North Carolina as Associate Rector
of Saint Alban's, Hickory, and Associate for Ministry with Children and Youth
at Trinity, Asheville. He also served on the diocesan staff as the Bishop's
Assistant for Youth Ministry. Prior to seminary, he was a commercial loan
officer for a bank in Gastonia, North Carolina. He also spent a year after
college as a bartender and ski bum in the Lake Tahoe area of California.
Taylor
is a graduate of Duke University and Virginia Theological Seminary. His wife, Kathy, works for Johns Hopkins Hospital. They have two sons, Mason (11) and Stafford (9).
Administrative
Assistant
Karen
Mardock has served Grace as the Administrative Assistant since April, 2008. She
is a graduate of Loyola College. Her previous work experience includes working
as a Merchandise Coordinator for Ralph Lauren Children's Wear and as Group
Sales Manager for Center Stage. She lives in Hanover with her husband Kirk and
their children Grace and Jack.
Minister
of Music
Dean Jestes is organist and music director for
the 11:15 service at the Church. Choir rehearsals are Monday nights 7:30 - 9
p.m. at the Church.
