The club celebrated 21 years of playing badminton in 2002.  Rumour has it that the club was started by 4 people, names to follow, who had nothing to do one evening (or they had too much to drink) and decided to start playing badminton as a social activity one night a week.  The first mixed team was entered into the Crewe League many years later around 1987 and won the Division 6 trophy 1988/89 season, followed by Divison 5  trophy 1989/90 season. The club grew to the current form we know today from a social club, we were keen to maintain a balance between social activity and competitive badminton, a flavour of which can be seen in the social events history.
