Dear Brothers: It is with great pleasure to come to you, with the purpose of presenting the work being done in the Ministry "Images of Salvation", carried out in Guatemala, Panajachel, Sololá. In execution of what the word of God says about the great commission in: Mark 16:15 AND the Lord told them": you Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creatures.

When I first was recruited to serve Jesus, I didn't know the great need that existed for preaching the salvation gospel to everybody. At that moment I observed the lack of strategies to take the message of hope, since my country of Guatemala speaks 52 different languages, and in Guatemala 70% of the people are native or indigenous origin and in 80% of these do not speak or read the Spanish language with accuracy, that means Christ's message has not arrived directly to the heart of all these people. The Lord called me through the missionary Brothers Kevin and Joy Stoltenburg, to work in taking the MESSAGE OF SALVATION through movies, I have been greatly blessed as my wife (Sara) and two sons (Ivan & Danny) have joined me in this ministry. For us it has been a wonderful experience for that our biggest desire is to serve God and now through Gospel Outreach Association we have the opportunity.

Our mission began more than one year ago, when we began showing Christian movies to reach many in the evangelical Christian churches, schools, in the parks outdoors, people affected by hurricanes, in Bible Classes, Christian encounters, family groups, Christian cells, hospitals, alcoholics anonymous groups, television channels for cable, and youth groups. Having an approximate average of 225,000 people attending since the beginning, of which many have received our Lord Jesus in their heart after the movies, they have also requested prayer for sanity and liberation, Our Lord Jesus is good and has answered these requests.

Gospel Outreach Association donated the equipment and the movies for sharing the Gospel, for the use of serving our Lord. In the beginning of the ministry I depended economically on my work, more however after observing the enormous necessity to take the salvation message in the native language of people, God called me to serve Him full time and now I am completing my third month of working for Him.

Only by the glory of God we have carried out the following things:

  1. Our God Jehová put in the hearts of my wife (Sara) and I to lead

a Family Christian Group from which our church was born, we began our church with two families in my house. And now after 3 months we are already 70 people and we have also baptized 12 people that have received Jesus Christ for the first time, they have been abused and discarded people, and now have decided to follow the truth, and now all work for the ministry. We also hold Bible Studies in other churches and with a group of young people.

  1. We have begun filming dramas of the Bible, that will be translated into different

languages that exist in Guatemala and other countries, with actors being from our

Christian group working for God, we are carrying out this with 8MM cameras. So far we

have completed 36 dramas.

 

  1. We also show movies in the Christian churches for the children, youth and adults, without

charging a cent in several areas of Guatemala with prayer and teaching.

 

  1. We provide the movies that we are making and send them to other places for their showing.

These movies were sent to cable channel No. 14 "Flames of freedom" in the city of Samayac,

Retalhuleu, where there is a great fight against the devil, where there is a lot of witchcraft

practiced.

    5. At the moment we are working on the edition of two CDs with of dramas of the Bible, so that later on audio will be

       introduced in other languages. 

                                                  How do we make all this happen?

We have believed in God, we believe that He will provide for our work, the teams involved, materials, and our basic necessities of life, as well as the development of the ministry IMAGES OF SALVATION.

THIS IT IS AN OPPORTUNITY for HARVESTING! The word of the Lord says in:

2 Cor. 9:6 AND I say this: The one that sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one that sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.We have the great desire to continue with the ministry "Images of Salvation", taking the word to all places in Guatemala. But to do this we need to keep cameras and all the movie equipment in working order, as well as provide our basic living needs as in food, gas, lodging and CD’s. We know this also is in our Father’s hands and He will continue to provide for us through your help.
