 Gospel Outreach Association- Testimonies- Hugo Mendez Blessings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, My name is Hugo Mendez and I am the Pastor of Bethany Church also a Veterinarian in Chichycestenago Guatemala. My wife Mari and my son and daughter also work with me in our ministry. In this area the worship of Satan is the number one religion. Every Saturday they sacrifice animals even in the town’s main Catholic church. Even many of the Christians work selling and performing sacrifices for the tourist. It is very hard here to witness to others; so many doors are closed in the traditional way. Two years ago I was told of a new form of witnessing using Christian films. I became a leader of the group in this area with the help of my great brother in Christ- Isaac. We hold showings in public places and the word of our film ministry has opened many doors for us to start showing Christian films in many of the public schools. I have witnessed many young children ask Jesus into their lives. I believe working with our youth we will change the world. I have also set up showing Christian films with our Cable Company. They show our bible teaching films that are being made by the camera crews every day. This has opened the door to reach over 2,000 viewers a day. My goal is in the near future to start bible teaching classes to all who care to attend. This way those who change their lives and except Christ we will be able to teach them God’s word. |
