the number one source of income. Learning English opens many doors for work.
3 – Vocational School- Solala, Guatemala This School was started as a ministry outreach to give the children and youths of Sololaa chance to improve their knowledge. The school is run by volunteers at Mount Sian Church. There are over 300 students that attend. They have Wood shop classes, Cooking classes, Sewing Classes, Music Classes, and Computer Classes. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 5 – Public School EFA (Escuela Formacion Agricula)- Solola, Guatemala ![]() 6 – Sheet Metal Shop/ Wielding School- Pantanatic, Guatemala In December of 2006, we started the construction of this school.Our plan is to have the building completed and the doors open in 2008. We will update this project when it is fully operational. ![]() ![]() 7 – Music/Sound Room School – Solala, Guatemala In Nov 2007 we started building a new school in Solala and completed in Nov. 2008. This school will teach three different classes. In the first class, the students will write and produce voice dramas that will be aired on radio stations for a half hour a day. For the second class, the students will write dramas, act them out, film them and produce the dramas on DVD’s to be aired on many cable companies. In the third class, the students will record their music and produce their own CD’s. ![]() 8 - School- Santa Cruz la Luguna, Guatemala Guatemala is a country with high poverty levels. Often it is because the people don't know how to make theirown money. One of these areas is Santa Cruz la Laguna. We have been teaching baking classes to the young ladies- which we are happy to report that many of them now own their own business and are making their own money. We have also been blessed to teach classes to the older men. In turn, they will be able to teach their children and grandchildren to work in their own businesses- giving them a better future. In addition, we hold Bible study classes for the children. |
