Ellis and I are working on program for the weekend of Thanksgiving.  There are many, many good Classic Gospel Southern Style songs on the Thanksgiving theme.  You'll hear some artists that aren't often heard on the program, plus other, more familiar legends of gospel music.

We're glad to report that HolinessMusic.com now airs CGSS on Saturday mornings at 9:00 (Central).  Also, thanks for the link back to our website!

Gospel legend Eva Mae LeFevre passed away on May 18, 2009.  This lady impacted southern gospel music in many wonderful ways.  During the second hour of our program for the weekend of August 8 Ellis Manley will present "Ellis Remembers Eva Mae LeFevre."  It's a tribute you won't want to miss.

We're glad to announce that WJLX Radio 1240, Jasper, AL airs CGSS on Monday afternoons at 1:30.

We're pleased that WKSR, in Pulaski, TN - Country 98.3 FM, Rocky AM-1420 and 98.3 FM-HD 2 has added CGSS to it's Sunday morning schedule.  Classic Gospel Southern Style airs at 7:00.

May 31 is Pentecost Sunday and Ellis and I decided to feature some songs about the Holy Spirit for the program that weekend.  We found some good ones too!  We think you'll enjoy the Pentecost emphasis on the program.

We're happy to add WFFF-AM, radio 1360, Columbia, Mississippi, to our family of stations.  CGSS is aired at 8:05 on Sunday mornings.  We're glad to be on Hometown Radio!

One of the stations that has aired Classic Gospel Southern Style for some time now has changed formats to a Southern Gospel, Christian Country, and Christian Bluegrass format.  Our program is aired on Nebraska's Positive Country, KCS (KKCS) on Saturday mornings at 9:00 and Sunday afternoons at 1:00 and again at 5:00.  We wish them the best as they spread the gospel through music!

In addition to playing the legends of gospel music we've been listening to and adding some music from some less well known artists.  We're still focusing on the best known ones, but, keep listening: once in awhile you'll hear some good music from a group you don't remember!
