Gmail for Students
 
The official e-mail for all students attending MCCCD is going to be <MEID>@maricopa.edu.  Student email accounts will be used to communicate MCCCD business. The new MEID@maricopa.edu email accounts will be loaded into Blackboard beginning with the fall 2009 semester.
 
Students are responsible for communications sent to their Maricopa email address. They should check this email account on a regular basis or forward it to an account which they will check on a regular basis.

 

Set Up Your Student Google Account

Type google.maricopa.edu in the address line of your Internet browser (Explorer, Firefox, etc.)

 
 
At the Log In page, enter:

1. your MEID and Password (same as for Blackboard),

2.  check the “I have read and agree with...”box, and

3.  Click the Log In button.

 

Note: There are links to lots of help topics on the Log In page.

 

 

 

On you first log in, you will be taken to a registration page.

Fill this out.

 

 

Next you will be taken to your personal start page.

After this, every time you log in, you will be taken to your start page. 

 
 
 

Your Gmail address will be

(your MEID)@maricopa.edu

 

You will see a message with information on how to get started.

 

You have access to all of the Google applications, such as documents, spreadsheets, presentations, calendar, sites (wiki) and more.

 

In addition, Google has an awesome online Help feature.
 
 

Forwarding MEID@maricopa.edu Email

The official e-mail for all students attending MCCCD is going to be <MEID>@Maricopa.edu. Student email accounts will be used to communicate MCCCD business. The new MEID@Maricopa.edu email accounts will be loaded into Blackboard. Students are responsible for communications sent to their Maricopa email address.

Students have the option to ‘forward’ email going to this address to their ‘preferred’ email address.

Sign in to Gmail at

google.maricopa.edu

 

Click

Settings at the top of any Gmail page.
 

Open the

Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
 

Enter the email address to which you would like your messages forwarded.

 

Select the action you would like your messages to take from the drop-down menu.

You can choose to keep Gmail's copy of the message in your inbox, or you can send it automatically to

All Mail, within Gmail, or Trash (delete).
 

Click

Save Changes
